Fifteen years ago, I was disabled by an illness that has no know cure. The experience has used up most of my emotional and financial resources. It has also made me realize how many folks yearn for help that too often is unavailable.
Although I was a writer by trade for 25 years, I took up photography a few years ago because I have always been interested in aesthetics and I am a lousy painter. My move to Santa Fe in 2000 was motivated by a desire to be part of an arts-oriented community. My walking is very limited, so I specialized in old-fashioned portrait photography in my south Santa Fe studio.
My main effort these days is in photographing older people for a book titled "Faces of the Elderly."

All services for non-profits are always free, and I am happy to photograph anyone who contacts me via Help-Portrait at no charge.
