This event will be in March 2013, and is only beginning to take shape.

It involves a group including a hairdresser, a make up artist and photographer and assistant, attending a nursing home and taking images of people and making them feel like a king or queen just for the day....

Basically this idea comes from my time working as a Paramedic and realising that a lot of people in nursing homes are lonely and feel isolated, so I wanted to make them feel special and the centre of attention for a day.

Love this, perhaps we can do something similar to this in our area. This type of event does the following:

  1. It fosters some good for the community.
  2. It keeps a core group of people together, thereby making event recruiting easier.
  3. It provides a mechanism to continue to foster intra-organizational ties involving hair makeup, and photographers.
  4. If a general interest story is written, it will provide better brand recognition with Help-Portrait and keep the name more familiar in the community.
