As the 12/12/09 event comes to a close, we can't thank you enough. We've been blown away the experiences we read about and can't wait to hear more!

In case you are wondering, here are some statistics we are tracking to-date:

  • 17,200+ pictures taken
  • 1400+ photographers
  • 2720+ volunteers

And this is with only 43% of locations reporting. If you haven't submitted your information, you can do so here: http://bit.ly/help-portrait.

Behind-the-scenes Video & Picts

If you're ready to submit your behind the scenes videos and pictures, and group picts, please upload them to our FTP server:

ftp.help-portrait.com
user: video
pw: helpportrait
Folder Format: City-State-Country

*Please don't forget that you are not allowed to publicly post direct pictures of your subjects. We need to respect their privacy.

Press Coverage

In case you haven't heard, CNN US/international, as well as CBS (in the US only) news will be covering Help-Portrait on Sunday night. Keep your eye on Twitter for details on when. Of course, we'll post the links when they're online.

If your local media has covered your event, please email our H-P press coordinator, Lori at press@help-portrait.com and let her know.

Kyle, please tell me we will do this again next year as a group - I didn't hear about it until the day of it, but I'll be ready with my students next year!

Would you like the BTS video and photos only via ftp or the flickr group you tweeted today? Or both?

Guys;

Thank you for allowing me to participate in the event. I had a huge moving experience! It felt great to give back to the community and it was great to see the smile on people's faces including the children. I feel very proud of having the opportunity to give a little happy moment to those in need and it made me appreciate more the things that I have been blessed to receive!!!

Thanks again and you can count on me for next year's event.

Hey everybody. In order to use the FTP system, you need to use an FTP software like Transmit for Mac or CuteFTP for windows. It will not work on your browser.

Tried last night and the site was under maintenance. Today I can't seem to log on the sever, says it is the wrong user name and password. Tried several times. Is there somewhere else I can upload to? I'd like to upload our pics and video.

WHAT AN AMAZING DAY!! So many smiles. So many giggles. So many squirming bodies in laps. Pride, hope, joy, and love. Lives were touched and connections made. So much to so many. WHAT AN AMAZING DAY!!
