Thank you so much for the Dec 1 meeting.  The event is this Saturday Dec 10 from 10-5.  We will start setting up at 9am and we need your help to move a bit of tables and chairs around.  Also please update me the time you can help out in the event.  I look forward to our first Help-Portrait in Highland Park.  Thank you for all your time and work.

Just an update to let you know that Help Portrait Naples will begin at 9:30 a.m. at St. Matthew's House. The address is 2001 Airport Rd S  Naples, FL 34112

People can sign up for time to have their portrait taken at the shelter, but we aren't turning people away. So, if someone just shows up, we will work them in to studio. 

I've been told that residents of the shelter are very excited about this event. So am I! Can't wait to see all the smiling…

Life gives us moments where we realize there is still so much to enjoy. A genuine handshake from a stranger whose day you've just brightened with a surprise. A genuine, loving "Thank you" from a father to his son for smiling with him in a photo (which was otherwise not a common occurrence). A genuine hug from another complete stranger to say thanks for making them feel special. And smiles from ear to ear on faces otherwise often hiding from cameras. Help-Portrait was amazing today! So glad…

Fifteen years ago, I was disabled by an illness that has no know cure. The experience has used up most of my emotional and financial resources. It has also made me realize how many folks yearn for help that too often is unavailable.

Although I was a writer by trade for 25 years, I took up photography a few years ago because I have always been interested in aesthetics and  I am a  lousy painter.  My move to Santa Fe in 2000  was motivated by a desire to be part of an arts-oriented…

I would like to send a thank you out to my employer the Naples Daily News for sponsoring me to do the Help Portrait event December 10, 2011. 

They have supplied a printer, ink, and paper to print the pictures for the event. 

The event will take place at St. Matthew's House in Naples. Times are to be determined. A new post will come as soon as the details are ironed out.

I am getting a late start but am willing to help in any way that I can.

Anyone interested in helping me set up a location in the Rock Hill, SC,  Lake Wylie, SC, York County??

I'm absolutely thrill to have found this site. I've been wanting to be a part of something like this for ages. 

A little bit about me:

I've been taking pictures professionally since 2006 and have loved every minute. I love capturing smiles, a glance, a kiss, basically anything that will bring joy to a person's face from the moment they see their picture to years down the road when they're looking in scrapbooks of their lives and their families…

Have a pretty good group to help this first year New Brunswick/ Highland Park group.  I look forward to hearing some donation come in to make this event possible!  :-)

Kincardine Help-Portrait date has been moved to December 4th for this year's event.  Clients of Community Living will be having their portraits taken at the Davidson Centre. Please message me for more info.
