In 2010, I passed the helm of the Sacramento Help Portrait group off to Jerome Love.  He had a very successful event and I had hoped the same would come together this year, but it hasn't.  I tried to organize a venue myself this year, but started too late and the agencies I've contacted are now overwhelmed with their own holiday plans for their clients.  I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I don't think we're going to have a December event this year.  I will resume my regular roll next year to make sure our outstanding group of volunteers are not disappointed again.

I have encouraged our group to organize their own little events in their own neighborhoods and communities.  Churches are a great resource for info on families in need in their congregation.  Even if you only serve 1-2 families this year, the experience will go a long way toward making those families' holiday season brighter.
