"Good news! I just received confirmation that we have 100 frames to use for both of our events!! They are the RIBBA 5x7 frames. I will hold back some for the Darling Home, and the rest we will use at MBC."

Michale just sent me this....doesn't sound like you need it after your dry run, but can you let me know just in case?

I have a friend who has a printer. But its huge. Its a HP DesignJet130nr. He is willing to print & cut 60 81/2x11's for us. But transporting this thing is going to be difficult. (If he is willing to at all). I will see if Henry's can pony up on the printing as well. Wal-Mart will get a visit as well.

To follow up with our dry run yesterday.....

Alex's printer is all set to go on Nov 19. Jay has graciously committed to lend us his Epson 2200 printer so we'll surely have two printers running. What we need to get is ink cartridges and 5x7 ilford papers.

I still have the reservation on the Sony SnapLab printer from Vistek but we are waiting for clarification what vistek intends to do for us on that from Mike. If they can donate the ink and paper for the SnapLab printer that would be awesome.

We have some volunteers from MBC who are going to supply us with snacks and drinks. We have a couple of makeup artists but we can use extra.

We will be setting up the MBC venue on Friday night Nov 18 from 7pm onwards and we can do a real shoot and print test that night.

I'm not sure what else I've left out so please feel free to add here what we all need to know.

Hi George! So good to hear that it went well!  Great job! 

For next year, we will be starting our planning in the spring. We will definitely be doing The Darling House, hopefully the Women's shelter (we have a contact there), and perhaps team up with you.  We may also do a 4th location. So, lots of work!  We will be coordinating make up teams, onsite printing, etc.  The more the merrier!  We will be doing a wrap up get together in January, and we'd love it if you can come. I'll keep you posted, and your team can join us.  If you want to join our group on this site as well, you can get in on things now as well. 

 

Merry Christmas!  Looking forward to hearing all about your event!

Hey George!
How did your event go? Suzanne said it looked like things went well. Did any other photographers show up from the camera club?
We are planning a HP wrap up dinner in mid-January (when everyone has had a chance to get through the holidays), and we'd love it if y'all came. If you are interested, I'll keep you posted on the details, or you can join our HP group and see it when it is listed.
