"Hey Jeremy, You didn't come around neighborhood yesterday, did you? Someone rang our doorbell after leaving a bag of goodies for us and disappeared before we could get to the door... very nice gesture... Until that time . . .  Earl J."

I am a...

... help ...

I love to help ... but not so much the publicity...

I've helped the military of this great nation of ours for 22 years, no one in uniform now remembers me.

I've helped Ron Howard become successful at what he does beginning way back with Andy Griffith when they shot their tv shows in the hills of NC, but he'd never admit it.

I've helped President George W. Bush ease the burden of 9/11 and helped prevent it from happening again on several occasions, but Homeland Security has no record of my efforts.

To reinforce Jeremy's intent, it isn't about the helper - it's the result of the help ... to serve more than being served ...

Until that time ...  Earl J.

I haven't been around in such a long time, I had to build a new account...  (sigh)

P.S. I have been known to tell a fib or two from time to time . . . (grin)

I do understand how it makes someone feel whenever you put in alot of effort for great things, and receive no praise.  Which taught me that its not about the praise I receive from the great work that I have done, but for the smiles I have put on other people faces that are in need of my help, and I hope that I can bring the same spirit towards this event.
