Hey all:

I found out about HP via one of my Photoshop students. I'm currently working with the community around Seventh and Porter Sts. to develop what may be a magic lantern show dealing with the neighborhood, immigration and intersections of culture. It's under a grant from Philadelphia Mural Arts. I also run a 501c3 public arts project entitled Tsirkus Fotografika http://tsirkus.org

I was thinking that doing a Polaroid (well, Fujiroid) shoot or digital shoot around the Holidays might be a great way to feel out the residents as far as photography is concerned for work that would come later, as well as furthering my connection with the area residents. I'm already getting to know the community by hanging out and talking with people, attending community functions, and doing a lot of walking around.

I can do much of the work, but having some partners-in-crime would help a lot, so I thought perhaps a joining of forces.
