Kristofor Jensen said… So how are things going? We had some delays with getting our location confirmed for our Family event on Dec 10 so signs are just starting to go out now. We're shooting at 7110 Boul Newman in Lasalle.
If you have any volunteers willing to shoot on Dec 11 we will have between 5-7 small locations that shelters downtown that could use volunteers.
You have a really great web page! (I wish we had that kind of talent available in our group). We've had fund-raising difficulties in the past 2 years because of some of our locations did not like the media to come and the locations were shelters. Last year we operated on ~$300 for the printing and most of that came from the volunteers. It would be really nice if we could nail down a canadian donation site like what they have in the states.
Would you mind adding our location to your little map? It would be a big help. Last year we had a pay-pal donation link that raised us a bit of money but I find there is confusion out there about HP Canada in general since there is a help-portrait.ca site for two locations in Edmonton AB, yours here and quite a few others popping up around.

Hi Audric,
I work with Jerry in the 'Montreal" Help-Portrait group. He is currently on a military contract and doesn't have email during the day so you might hear from him tonight. We've been going (albeit under different names) for the last two years and this is our 3rd year working together. We have been supporting events for the Old Brewery Mission shelters (4 of them) as well as running a family event at a church by Decarie highway.
Is this your first year? We can probably offer some advice to help you get started. We did put together a short video two years ago but didn't have the time last year.
Let me know if you have any questions...we should probably rename our groups to better distinguish between them. If you are doing just one event in Hochalaga/Maisoneve, could you name yours something along those lines? Last year we used "Central Montreal" since our old "Montreal" admin was inactive but we've sorted that out now to get our old name back. We're a bit scattered all over the island with our efforts so we could also consider merging if it makes life easier (and easier to find sponsors and share volunteers).
