Cancer Society:
They will provide their facility at Riddiford Street from 9.30-12.30 (Shoot time 10-12), time can be extended.
They don't have enough time anymore to allocate and nominate the cancer patients, but will help with other contacts and distributing flyers directly to the hospital.
They think it is a wonderful idea and a very generous offer, so they'll be more than happy to do another event beginning next year.
Hi guys. Brenzen and I managed to sneak into access radio yesterday and got to talk a little bit about the project. You can listen to the podcast at http://www.accessradio.org.nz/community_zone.html
(click on Yenping and Laura hear about a series of awesome projects celebrating the lead up to Christmas- Help Portrait...)
We certainly need to get some more publicity before the 12th (TV, newspapers, radio etc) so any ideas, comments, contacts are much appreciated.
Also hope you get a chance to pop in at the Miramar Community Centre this Saturday, 2pm for a catch up before the big day on the 12th.
Salvation Army Miramar and Newton are getting more involved:
Miramar is offering the SA Hall and nominating people. They also try to find some more Volunteers out of their staff.
Newton still need to confirm.
