Hi there,
It's time to get started on the next project. This time I think we should focus on spreading the photos over a few weekends, rather than just one day but have our final day on the 10 Dec 2011.
Could you please let me know if you're still interested in being involved and what ideas you have. I have contacted the Wellington City Council who can put us in touch with a number of different groups, eg. refugees, new immigrants, community groups etc.
Please also think of sponsorship - the printing seems to be the biggest hurdle for us all so if anybody has any contacts......
Thanks,
Zelda

Permalink Reply by Zelda MacKenzie on November 10, 2011 at 2:25pm Okay, just so that we're all on the same page - we're meeting at Finc on Wakefield St (almost opposite the Wtn City Council Building) at 10.30 on Saturday morning to discuss the next steps. CCF are very excited about having us there again this year but not having much traction with anybody else.
Hope you can make it tomorrow - if not, just keep watching this page!

Hi there,
Just so that you know, CCF have confirmed their list is filling up - I'll have final numbers by next week. I've contacted Weltec and they're identifying students who would be willing to help on the day. One member is looking at Habitat for Humanity out in Porirua and he'd appreciate another photographer being there with him - details to be confirmed soon and other members are also looking at other opportunities with recent immigrant groups too.
All looking good so far.
Cheers,
Zelda
Permalink Reply by Clarence U on November 27, 2011 at 4:21am I'm pretty flexible with doing either CCF or Habitat.
Have followed up with Downtown Community Ministry but have not heard anything back yet.
Cheers,
Clarence
Permalink Reply by Zelda MacKenzie on November 27, 2011 at 3:56pm Thanks Clarence - there doesn't seem to be much interest from the organisations but I bet the folk who make up the groups would be keen! Never mind, we'll do what we can.
Permalink Reply by Nikki Peterson on December 1, 2011 at 3:15am Hi Guys,
I'm afraid that I haven't been able to get anywhere with Changemakers or primary schools as further possibilities for Help Portrait.
I am unable to join you this Sat but looking forward to joining you on Dec 10th!
Is there a plan for the 10th yet?
Cheers, Nikki

Yes, we're meeting at CCF (next to the hospital) on Sat at 10am. Give me a call if you need directions.
Cheers,
Zelda

I can't seem to reply to the email you sent me but just confirming I am still available for Saturday, preferably for CCF but can do Habitat in Porirua if they are really short of photographers.
Let me know when and where to turn up ;)

Permalink Reply by Zelda MacKenzie on December 22, 2011 at 1:18am Thanks again to all the volunteers who came along on 10 December. I handed over all the photos I had received from you today and CCF were really grateful that we were able to get them there by Christmas Day.
For those who were not there on the day, we decided we'd like to do this again, at the same venue but would prefer to do it in Sept 2012. I will approach Help Portrait and see if they'd like us to do so under their umbrella. If not, we'll still do it so please stay in touch. If you don't have my personal email it's zeldamacnz@gmail.com.
Awesome work - thanks again, Team!
