Ubuntu Help-Portrait is a volunteer photographer movement that has its foundations in Help-Portrait. It is based in Johannesburg South Africa.
It is the largest Help-Portrait group in South Africa and it has given the greatest number of portraits in the global Help-Portrait community.
In 2012, over 16,500 portraits [up from over 13,000 in 2011] were given to people in needy communities. Over 36,000 free portraits have been given in 4 years.
Volunteers based outside of the Johannesburg hub, are also invited to join the Ubuntu Help-Portrait Chapters that focus on volunteers in other cities and towns in South Africa and Swaziland.
Membership of the group and the chapters is open to all photographers and volunteers.
The 2013 edition of the flagship Free Portraits programme will be launched on Thursday, 30 May 2013. Click here to view the details.

Hi all
I would like to add the Avril Elizabeth Home, to the list of shoots, I have spoken to Nicky and set aside Monday 29 Nov from 9 30 - 11-30 . we are looking at about 170 Mental and physical disabled kids and adults .
Really want to do this one guys.

The shoot numbers keep on changing and that is why the links often do not work, Sorry about that.
