2011 SLC Help-Portrait Meetings Schedule

NEW 2011 HELP PORTRAIT MEETINGS- I wanted to let you know that we have scheduled 4 meetings before out 2011 Event on Saturday, Dec 10th. We would love to be able to help ensure that everyone is on the same page and help clear up any last minute questions that you may have. So please make all of our lives easier, and take just a few minutes out of your day to come to the meeting. That being said, the meetings are scheduled EVERY SATURDAY @NOON at the SLC Photo Collective (200 South 561 West) NOVEMBER 12th,19th, 26th, and DEC 3rd. Feel free to bring snacks to share and plan on meeting for less than an hour.

Here are the latest developments for Help-Portrait Salt Lake City.

I have been contacting local promotors, and have received full sponsorship from KRCL 90,9 FM that will help promote the event starting next week. Also, SLUG magazine will be running a Podcast as well as promoting on SLUGMAG.com. So keep your eye out for that.

This brings me to my next point, we NEED to receive confirmed support from business's or restaurants willing to donate food for the day. Help- Portrait is an official Non- Profit organization which means that we can now provide receipts with tax write off benefits. Please let me know if you know anyone that would like to jump on board. I would like to be able to add their company logo and info to all of the press releases, ads, and flyers that will be published soon!

Great! I also had in mind refugees (via International Rescue Committee) and homeless youth living in a transitional housing (via Volunteers of America).

2011 Help Portait Salt Lake City! We will be hosting an event at the SLC Photo Collective this year as apposed to Studio 600 as we did in years past. The SLC Photo Collective is located at 200 South 561 West. Since we are so close to the Road Home Shelter, we will be working directly with them, but we are not limited to only promoting to one shelter. We will be announcing our first meeting scheduled for the first week of Nov to plan logistics. Please keep in contact on this page, and we can provide you with the information that you will need. We are getting excited!

Hey guys! I missed this event last year and there is no way I will miss it again! Let me know if anyone needs help with anything..I am a photographer, but I can do assisting..marketing..anything else really. Cant wait to hear more details about this years event! =)

For those that missed the meeting, and haven't heard from me personally, I apologize. It is difficult to contact everyone individually. All rotating/behind the scenes photographers and volunteers should try to arrive by 11:00. We will be having a quick meeting at 11:30 to go over the layout of the event. If you can't make it that early, but still want to help where you can, simply show up when you can and one of the voluteers will point you in the right direction. There will be a sign in sheet at the front desk that EVERYONE will need to sign to keep track of volunteers as well as a separate sign in sheet for guests who will be photographed. See you all tomorrow! Also, if you are able to donate even $5 the day of the event, that would really help us cover some expenses. Thank you!

I wasn't able to make it to the meeting either because of work so I don't know really what's going on. Is there a time schedule anywhere that I could see?
