Welcome to the San Jose Help Portrait group page. This is the original and first group that has been hosting Help Portrait since 2009. We started a facebook page that will be used as the main activity platform: facebook.com/hpsjc1

Please keep in mind that if photog spaces are limited, photog and other positions are on a first come first serve basis.

Comment by Andy Frazer on April 5, 2011 at 9:47am: We had a great family shoot at the Sunnyvale Community Services HQ two weeks ago. We photographed 16 families this time (which brings our grand total up to 28). Please don't feel bad if you didn't know about this event. I didn't advertise for more volunteers on this forum because it's a small operation, and I already had assistants lined up. But the reason that I mention this is to remind everyone that you don't have to wait for the holidays to do a community service photo shoot. There are operations like SCS in every town, and they would all appreciate someone stepping up and organizing a series of on-going photo shoots for people who have never had their portrait taken.

Comment by Annaliese Cabrera on November 22, 2010 at 1:06am: Next meeting is at my place in San Jose please email me at liesel.Cabrera@gmail.com so I can send you address. Tomorrow at 7:30pm. This is the last meeting and it is mandatory for new members because there is a lot to catch on. Also since we have been planning for quite a while all photog roles are filled. What we need are processing/ printing and photog assisstants.

There is also another San Jose group you can join if this does not fit. Our group doesn't use the board that often because it's a little faulty so we communicate by email.
