Hi Samuel, you might be seeing posts from last year. Also, while the official date is the 10th, many of organise events on other dates too...

The official day will be the 10th of December. Why do people keep posting the 4th of December?

Hello Seattle Help Portrait,
North Bend, Wa / Encompass
I will again be doing a photo-shoot for Help Portrait on 12/04/10 working with Encompass :) I will have my lights set up and ready to go Friday night and be back at Encompass at 8am Saturday to check my White Balance and final lighting adjustments to begin shooting at 9am. There are a list of low-income families that will be coming through and I will be shooting non-stop til 4pm-ish (maybe a bit longer). I welcome any help if anyone in the Snoqualmie Valley area would like to assist with posing, lighting, makeup/hair, etc... I will have a couple of people from Encompass there to assist but I would prefer someone that knows a bit about photography, lighting & posing... If anyone in the area is looking for a way to plug themselves in & help, I welcome you to join me :)

Hey everyone. I'm new to help portrait (signed up like 10 days ago) and am not sure how exactly to get involved... I don't have or use lightroom in my RAW/editing work-flow so I would be looking to fill a photographer position. I tried posting on a "help needed" type post but not sure if that was the best way to go about getting signed up at a location... Any help signing up for a project would be great.

Hi! I'm setting this up for the first time and I'm really excited! I work in the REI Photo Studio and they hooked up with Help Portrait last year and have asked me to organize it again this year. Any tips or hints to help things run smoothly and give these wonderful people a great day?
