Youth In Focus 12/04/10 - Event Leader/Volunteers Needed
For the Youth in Focus site we need a Co-Event Leader to assist in organising this event from the Help-Portrait side. Youth in Focus has someone in place to organise things on their end, as well as some volunteers already, but they need more to make things happen. Below is a loose list of the needs for this site:
(1) Event Leader to partner with Youth In Focus Site Lead
(2) Photo Booth setup’s
– This would include a light setup, background, background stand, etc…
(2) Lead Photographers
(Perhaps as a Lead Photographer you might have the gear to bring?)
(4) Assistants
(8) Editors/Post Processing*
(4-6) Other volunteers to handle, greeting, documentation, back-up, etc…
*Must be able to bring laptop with Lightroom or Aperture for quick edits, ideally be able to burn CD’s as well.

Hello Everyone,
I am working with the Youth in Focus organization as their Help-Portait co-lead.
We are looking for 1, possibly 2, Lightroom (or Aperture) editors with a laptop who could help process the portraits at the shoot. The photo session is scheduled from 9-5pm, with 2 photo stations, each with its own Lightroom editor. If we can secure 2 editors per station we will split the day in 2 overlapping halves - 8:30am to 1:30pm and 12:30pm to 5:30pm.
As your editing workflow allows it, your willingness to act as a Help-Portrait representative and helping make portrait families welcome and comfortable during their session will be appreciated.

Thanks for the update. I don't use Lightroom for my editing work flow (I know, but camera RAW works for me). I was looking to fill one of the photographer slots... Looks like those are taken so I'll look for another project to work with. Thanks again!

I am interested, sent Fabrice an email: I use Lightroom for most of my processing and can bring my laptop (Windows). I could do either time slot.
