Comment by Kevin Lorenzi on November 14, 2012 at 1:26pm If you'd like to volunteer this year-please send me an email at klorenzi@gmail.com unless you've already done so. If you're willing to volunteer at our Aliquippa site please let me know.
I'll be sending out an email with the latest information on our events by the end of the week.
Comment by Dan Speicher on November 6, 2012 at 10:04pm Help Portrait 2011 video is online, check it out. Lets crush it this year!
Comment by Kevin Lorenzi on October 30, 2012 at 10:13pm We've also added an event at the Franklin Center in Aliquippa. We'll be working in conjunction with an event that is already planned at the center that day. There is likely to be a big demand for volunteers and portrait stations at this site. Aliquippa is about 30 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh.
Comment by Kevin Lorenzi on October 30, 2012 at 10:09pm I'm building a volunteer list for this year's Help-Portrait events. Please send along your email address to klorenzi@gmail.com, if you'd like to volunteer this year on Saturday, December 8. We're looking for photographers, photo editors, hair and make-up artists and anyone who wants to help out with odds and ends.
You can learn more about Help-Portrait here: http://www.facebook.com/helpportraitpittsburgh

It's a great chance to give back to your community, give a portrait to someone who may not otherwise have the means to get one, and see some big smiles when they hold the print in their hands.
Comment by Kevin Lorenzi on October 15, 2012 at 11:09am We have confirmations for events at the following locations this year:
-Women's Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh
-Women's Center of Beaver County
-Community Human Services, Oakland
-Community Human Service, downtown Pittsburgh 200+ person residential site
Waiting to hear back details on an additional Beaver County location and one other possible Pittsburgh (East Liberty) location.
We really need to start reaching out to potential sponsors to try to get some donations of food, coffee, paper and ink for printing, etc.. If anyone can help in taking a lead with that or has connections that might be willing to donate, I can definitely use the help.
@Dan,
Feel free to download some of the images from the Facebook page. Look forward to seeing the finished product.
Thanks!
Comment by Dan Speicher on September 26, 2012 at 12:19pm video is almost ready, was super busy planning my wedding, and regaining lost footing having traveled all last summer. If anyone has any photos they would like to send over for the promo, please email them to danspeicherphoto@gmail.com
Comment by Adam Oliveri on September 24, 2012 at 1:16pm I was one of the late volunteers last year and am definitely still interested in helping out this year.
Comment by Kevin Lorenzi on September 23, 2012 at 1:48pm Time to start thinking about this year's event. First things first. I'll reach to last year's venues and make sure they're interested in doing it again. It seems like we had an surge in volunteering interest at the last minute last year. Hopefully, we can carry that over and add a few more sites. Any suggestions of specific organizations that might be interested and deal with clients who could benefit from Help-Portrait?
Comment by Kevin Lorenzi on August 7, 2012 at 2:57pm John,
It's never too early! I was intending to start working out this year's partner organizations next month but if you have ideas feel free to through them out. We'll likely build upon the 2 organizations we held events at last year. I'm thinking at least 4 locations this year.
