I would, but I have been sick since Saturday and only left the house to get food. I am not sure what I have otherwise I would be there.

Got a call from Children's today. They are so excited that we are working with them and the "Hand in Hand" program. They have a family right now with a 14 month old that is not doing very well. The child is scheduled for surgery on Friday and has been in the hospital pretty much since birth. Because of that, they don't have any family photos. They were wondering if anyone would be available to go take some photos of the family at the hospital within the next few days. Jeff or Tammy, I wanted to see if this is something you may want to do. Let me know ASAP. Otherwise, I will make time for it.

I will help wherever you need me, but initially put me down for the "Hand in Hand" program. I am a photographer and can bring any equipment, backdrops, etc. that might be needed. Sounds like a wonderful project and I'm really looking forward to it.

What we need to do at this point is get everyone committed to a specific project and time frame. We will be joining others who are participating in Help-Portrait across the world on December 12. We are trying to coordinate three projects in Omaha:
1. Patients at UNMC (Christine is coordinating)
2. Families involved in the "Hand in Hand" program at Children's Hospital. (I am coordinating) Some families will come to a centralized location, while others will need photographers to come to them.
3. A large community event at Liberty Elementary (Christine's idea, but she will need help in coordinating)
We will need, not only photographers, but assistants and volunteers to help coordinate. We have stylists that will be working with us and that will be assigned to each project. We also still need to secure someplace that will donate prints.
Please post which of the three projects you are interested in helping with and what time frame you can commit to on December 12. Thanks!

Hello all, just heard about the project but was unable to attend the meeting. I am interested in lending a hand (am an amatuer photographer). let me know what I can do.

The meeting was very productive. We had people representing Children's Hospital, UNMC, and Beauty First in attendance, as well as a couple photographers. We will be organizing the smaller groups for specific projects now and getting a game plan together so we can focus on specifics need for each project. In addition to working with Children's and UNMC, Christine would also like to organize a larger project with Liberty Elementary. We need to get every one committed to being available the day of the event (Dec. 12) so we can determine how many people we will be able to photograph for each project. Please let us know what project you are interested in committing to. Thanks!
