Hi Patricia! It looks like this is the closest H-P location to me that could use a few more bodies. I'm trying to rearrange my schedule on the 10th so I can be there to help out. I'm a decent photographer, but have little portrait experience. 

I'm new to H-P...what's the shoot-day timeline usually like? When does it start/end? How much time is needed for setup/breakdown, etc?

Sorry for the late reply - kids were sick, and then Thanksgiving got around the corner.

Yes, this event is still going on.

Hello everybody,

 

This event will be happening on the 10th. I will meet with my contact person this Thursday at Family Services to discuss details, and I, of course, would like to see how much space we actually have.

Regarding time; right now we are thinking to start shooting at 10am until 2pm; with time before and afterwards to set up/clean up, but this is not yet set in stone.

For the past month, I have been "harrassing" Penn Camera to find out if they can donate the prints. So far no luck. But I will keep on trying to find out our status. Tomorrow I think I will ask Ritz too, just as back up, as well as WHCC. If anybody else has any suggestions, please let me know.

Thanks for replying to my post!  I have switched to this group as you suggested.  I'm up for pretty much whatever needs to be done on the 10th.  Just let me know where to be and when to be there.  I'm still kind of a novice at portrait photography, but I'm hoping to offer as much assistance as I can.

All,

 

To give you all a quick update -

I met with Family Services today, and 60 families signed up. These are mostly families with 1 child, as Family Services mostly works with first time parents.

Time will be from 10 am - 2 pm. We can start setting up at 8:30 am.

They have a wonderful big room (no windows); a conference room for the kids to do some arts and craft while they are waiting, and a waiting room for the parents.

If you would be like to be involved, please let me know. Charissa, I know you will be there :-)

Hi My name is Ron and I'd like to hep out as a photographer.  I have my own equipment, but Iwould not ae able to stay for the entire duration of the event.  If that is not a problem, then I look forward to meeting you all on 12/10
