Well, so far, every year I've tried to do this, this event gets canceled for this specific location. I think we should try consulting group members for alternate solutions. We're all artists, therefore we're really inventive and creative and with the connections in the NOVA area, we are bound to figure something out. :) There are tons of shelters who would probably be willing to invite some of us there to do the portraits.
I'm going to look into Sterling and Leesburg. Members of this group are more than welcome to join me on the venture. If we can't work anything out by then, so be it. But I really want to be photographing somebody in need (in this area) on December 10th. :)) ...

Permalink Reply by Kim Hawthorn on December 8, 2011 at 3:00pm Lindsay, thanks for heading this up. I really only shoot in natural, outdoor light and I'm not completely comfortable shooting with studio lighting, but I would love to help in any way I can....even if I can just help volunteer. I'm in Ashburn. Let me know.
I need to see if my husband will be able to watch our son and baby on Saturday first. Keep me updated.
Thanks!
