Brooklyn--(Williamsburg)
El Puente

(Lead Organizer - WillSalomon)
(100 Families 200-500 people will be photographed)
We have a lot of families we will be photographing. This site is usually the largest of the NYC sites. It is our 3rd year organizing this wonderful event. We are all excited.
We still need volunteer Photographers (with full set up) to take family portraits
We are in major need of make up artist.
Please reply to this post if you are interested.
Thank you,
Will Salomon

I agree. Please, let us not get caught up or stressed about the MUA and lack of. It is a great and really nice addition, but not necessary...I just don't want any of us to lose momentum because of that one aspect. The portraits are the main objectives. Smile.
Peace,
Will
i guess, you're right. ... will try to emulate the Will-Zen-power now. ;)
this should be especially easy because i just heard from at least 1 make-up artist who may be joining us!! yeiih. ...
that count down on the home page is stressing me, though... lol.
Permalink Reply by Susan Sermoneta on December 8, 2011 at 3:03pm I wrote my earlier reply on my smart phone, where periods pop into sentences - and made the message sound desperate! (sorry!)
Anyway, I've emailed both Sirin and Kendra with the contact info for FIT where volunteer makeup artists might be available - call tonight (Thursday 12/8/11) between 5-10pm.
Susan
thank you, susan!

HELP PORTRAIT TOMORROW---
SOME WORDS of GRATITUDE
We are only a day away from yet another beautiful, exciting, stressful, yet rewarding Help-Portrait event. I wanted to take some time and thank all the volunteers for you commitment and especially to the Lead Organizers of each site, your leadership is amazing. White light and positive energy to you all. Can't wait to hear about the transformative power photography will have on the lives of our people.
Onward!
-Will Salomon Orellana
Yesterday, 12/10/11 was something very special. Big thanks again to all the volunteers and special shout out to the Lead Organizers throughout NYC. For us folks in Brooklyn, the 13 hour day was so rewarding for all the volunteers and 70+ families that showed up to get pictures taken. We laughed, cried, shared stories, built community and received the greatest gift, the gift of serving people. ABC World News w/ Diane Sawyer came by and will be running a story on our site. I believe it's airing tomorrow or Tuesday. With much gratitude to all who gave; from greeters to snack servers, photogs to image editors, runners to make up artist, organizers to doc. photographers and all the families and communities who made this possible, and every volunteer who gave of their heart and spirit; you lead by example and are inspiring. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
