Hi. I'm Ivan and I'm new here. I missed last December's shoot due to a health issue but I'm back and would love to participate in 2010! I am a creative director working in Jersey City, and photography is my passion! Please keep me posted as to how and where I may help for the next event.
Warmest regards, Ivan

NYC photographers we need your help. Last night 1600 kids slept on the street of Manhattan. It was 23 degrees out and it snowed. We want to start a nationwide photography project to give a face to youth homelessness. We want to start it in NYC. We want to show the faces of these kids so people can see they aren't just a number but they are real. We are looking for photographers in the NYC area who can help...please email me sean@lifeplace.us

The sharing and togetherness among the families and everyone that I worked with during this event I will remember forever and the woman who kept hugging me, before and after her family portrait was taken, was a pure giving spirit to behold.

What an absolutely incredible, and wonderful beginning to what I'm sure will become a yearly event! The joy, the love, the warmth that was spread that day was simply priceless. The absolute pureness of heart by all the volunteers that day is astonishing and commendable. Thank you so much to everyone for participating and I hope that the warmth you feel today is of countless measure as is in mine. The memories of that day will live on in the minds of everyone that participated and will last as priceless treasures in history through the photographs that were made.

Absolutely amazing job yesterday to everyone! Be sure to check out CBS's coverage of the event tonight, they stopped at the Concourse House, Bronx location and probably a few other NY locations. Also tonight at 6pm there is the CNN story about help-portrait!

Is it at all possible for each of the portrait taking photographers taking advantage of the services Adorama is donating to receive a personal email with detailed instructions.
So all I have is half of what I need and that's from a documenting photographer who was shooting in a different borough than me.

- Do I upload to a 'Help-Portrait' account at Adoramapix?
- Can i use an account I already have?
- What if the site doesn't allow me to create a new one?
- How do I know Adoramapix knows that I was portrait-taking photog? Is there a confirmation proceedure I need to be a part of?
- How many images should be uploaded? Do I share them?
- who chooses which images get printed?
- Who orders the prints once they're uploaded? How do they get delivered?
- Are there deadlines for uploading and ordering the free prints?

Already placed my orders into AdoramaPix. That was an awesome gesture on their part.

Wow what an AMAZING DAY! I had no idea howI much of a wonderful experience this was going to be. Our group had over 30 families and the photographers were just outstanding. Special Thanks to Rob Munroe for organizing our group and the make-up artist and assistance. I cant wait to do it again!--Now on to editing--I was too tired last nite--LOL

Is anyone else having an issue with completing your AdoramaPix order? At the confirmation page I keep getting an error. I think it wants me to ship, and not pick up at the store. I'll call in the morning to confirm.
