The people of Ekklesia Nashville are organizing a Help-Portrait event for the families of Safe Haven and the families of Murrell Special Education School!

Safe Haven is the only shelter-to-housing program of its kind in Middle Tennessee that accepts the entire homeless family. They keep families together and provide comprehensive services that empower them to achieve lasting self-sufficiency. Safe Haven has an emergency shelter program, but also offers a Transitional Housing Program and Rapid Rehousing Program. 

We will be providing the Help-Portrait event for current and past families of the Safe Haven program.

The Murrell Special Education School is a public alternative school in Nashville that meets the need of students who are unable to attend a traditional school setting due to severe behavioral or emotional issues. 

We will be providing the Help-Portrait event for families with a child currently enrolled at Murrell School.

Photographer Aly Schimpff of Wild Cotton Photography in Nashville will be directing the project. We will be needing volunteers to assist her with the photography, provide hair and makeup services, entertain children, serve lunch and snacks, and assist families with transportation to and from the event.
