maybe we can ask the salvation army if we can use any of their facilities or help with connecting with people. Or possibly the Mission? or a church group? Also has the Camera Center ever been approached with sponsorship, in the form of maybe backdrops, or being able to print images? I know I don't know how to print as I usually send my images to Bay Photo to get printed. so we would need someone who has a laptop, software, and a printer or two. I can only image how difficult this is getting all these together to help. thanks

Hi Fernando.

As of yet none. I've reached out to a local school, in Ceres on Hatch Road actually.

My issue has been, one I'm trying to coordinate alone, and second I've been aiming big. This year I'm going to aim small and build from there.

So the goal is simply to find someone who wants to give us space and help bring people who need portraits.

I have a facebook page I started last year. Just for easier communication, especially for gathering volunteers and spreading the word. Have back end conversations here.

Any help you, or anyone else can provide will be greatly appreciated. Any ideas for a venue are welcomed as well.

Can we meet up for all that are interested in making this happen this year in Modesto? in person or Google hangout?

I'm about to reach out to a couple of places in Modesto that I think will be great for this project. Jas (Jaspal Khaira) and I will be doing something this year for sure. Whether it happens on Dec 10, will depend on the organizations availability. Once we secure a location/organization, I will post it here and we will also reach out to the local photographers and other volunteers we know in the area.

We need to make this happen this year. If you have any questions, or suggestions please let me know.

I’m not sure how often you check this, I didn’t get an email notification for the comments that occurred in May, so hopefully you’ll get this some how and soon.
