2 dates set for Help Portrait 2011

Hello everyone!

Good news...we have two dates set for Help Portrait!

On Saturday November 19 George will be leading an event at Milton Bible church from 9 am to 4 pm. We will watch for George to post particulars, but if you would like to help with this event, please post to this discussion. On Saturday November 26 we will be at The Darling Home for Kids once again. The time will be 9 am to 5 pm. If you would like to sign up for this event, please let us know asap! We are very excited for these opportunities to reach out to our community and give to others!!!!! Savanna

Is there anything needed for the Darling house event. I can hit up a few shops. Printers ETC...

I haven't heard back from the Blue Room spa yet about doing makeup...so we might need to scramble for new helpers.

We have discs and CD holders. (we might need more discs). I haven't had any spare time to contact IKEA in Burlington about donating the frames. If you want to tackle this, I can let you know which frames they have donated in the past and you can give them a call. Last time we just had to go pick them up from customer service.

Otherwise, we won't be printing onsite...but things like water bottles, nut free food donations for us to munch on would be good. Also, gift bag (small to medium size), christmas theme, would be good. I use them to wrap everything up for the families.

We will appreciate some extra hands at the MBC's event. 2-3 extra photographers would be great. We are planning to tether and print on site but it depends on other factors such as the number of photographers I get to help with printing, etc. We will have two shooting stations setup.

Posters and flyers are going out this week. If anyone would like to help distribute the flyers or pin some posters up that would be greatly appreciated as well.

As long as I get a bit of training beforehand, I don't mind helping out with printing

(just a quick refresher course on how to use the programs and I should be good to go).

Any posters ready? Tom announced your event at the camera club last night, but if you can get me some posters asap Tom and I can spread them around. You can drop some off at our house anytime...there is a covered mailbox on the front porch (1067 Eager Road).

I have 11x19 posters and 4x5 fliers that were printed last Thursday. I'll drop some off at your place by this weekend. The small fliers can be dropped off at counters(stores, centers).

Sounds great! If we are not at home, there is a covered mailbox on the porch...feel free to leave them and we'll get them out! Did you get anyone to get them to the churches in town? I can easily take one to Southside Community Church, The Sanctuary, and New Life.
