London_Central UK 2011

Information

This Group is set up to see how many are interested in getting the Help-Portrait event off the ground in and around Central London.

Recommendations of how to go about this are welcome.

Looking especially to network with more photographers, MUAs and volunteers.

Also would welcome any details for charities to partner with for Help-Portrait.

Dear Group Members - new and older....

It is with great regret that I have to write this tonight.

With numerous calls to organisations not resulting in the desired response I have to cancel the Central London Help-Portrait Group.

I sincerely hope that we could have arranged this year to be great Help-Portrait event, but with only 5 days left and now partner organisations lined up I feel that it is better to let you know now, thereby giving you the chance / opportunity to try and find alternative groups to link up with.

I hope that you may still use your commitment to Help-Portrait to make a change to someone's life this year and give them their picture.

They have a hall we might be able to use (not huge, but sufficient for a smaller event). They are also having a Christmas fair with another church that day, which we may or may not want to tie into. This church also has a lot of connections in the community that can help bring families in.

I have a number of other potential connections I'm waiting to hear back from as well.
