Hi everyone! I'm new here. I've recently signed on as a volunteer and I'm very excited about this opportunity to make a difference. My fellow volunteer at the Indianapolis Animal Care and Control, Rick Trost, told me about this project. I work at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield, IN. We have an initiative, Hancock Caring Community Parners, that supports and encourages our associates to volunteer their time and talent in Hancock Co. and beyond. Since 2005, we've assembled teams to go to India (for tsunami relief), Bay St. Louis, MS (to help with Katrina recovery) and to Haiti. We would very much like to recruit team members to participate in the Help-Portrait efforts in the Henryville area. We really look foward to participating in this awesome project!

Sept 8-9 I can do that. I know I have been mia. My apologies. With the hail storm my regular job has kept my buried. Weekends are at the lake. But I would like to catch back up with you folks. So what can I do. I will be out of town until the 9th of July, give me a meeting time if there is one. or a task to do. I miss you guys.

Hi.  I just found out about this, and would love to help.  I'm a photographer, but I can do anything that needs to be done.  I'm not a great editor, but I can do the basics.

I have a laptop with Lightroom 4.  If someone could link me to the FB page (if it's been set up), that would be great.

I helped with the Help Portrait in Indianapolis last December, and I am excited about helping with this project as well.

Thanks.

To the Indy group - I was in on the Skype conference tonight with the Louisville group.  The Louisville metro area United Way has estimated that 1,200 to 2,000 families have been effected by the March tornadoes.  Obviously, we don't know how many of these families would be willing to take part in this event, but there is one thing we do know and that is we need more volunteers.  The date for the shoot is scheduled for Sept 8 & 9 in Henryville, IN.  We need more photographers with cameras (we think we have enough lighting equipment), make-up artists, and hair stylists.  So if any of you know anyone with these skills and are willing to volunteer any of their time, please contact them.  The main portal of communication is being moved from the Help-Portrait website to Facebook.  The FB page has not yet been established, but when it is, I will post the FB page.  Thank you for all your efforts.

Is anyone on the Indy team planning on getting together for this Friday's Skype meeting with the Louisville team?

Depending on the date/time of the Henryville event, I will either be there, or, as with the last Louisville Help Portrait event, I can arrange to LOAN gear (rather see it used for good instead of it schemeing against me in the closet...LOL)    Studio lights/modifiers/RF triggers suitable for Canon/Nikon/any hotshoe.

I should be at the Friday meeting in Louisville.

I have contacts at Country Lake and may have access to technology (computers and printers) for that site as well.
