DATE CHANGE!! Help-Portrait has changed the event date to December 10th. This will be our new event date.

We have sectioned the day off into two sessions: 9am - 12 noon (break from noon to 1pm) and then 1pm - 4pm. We are looking for volunteers that can do one or both shifts. We have 44 volunteers signed up in Google docs so far! That's not including Virginia College that recently emailed wanting to help provide folks to serve. Whahoo!

This will be an indoor event in the Connector Room at Lowe Mill ARTS and Entertainment. We will have two shifts available for folks to help out (9am-12 noon, a 1hr. break, then 1pm-4pm). As volunteers, you can pick one of the shifts or plan to stay the entire day. However, we will need to know in advance what station you prefer to volunteer at and at what time.

Is it the 3rd or the 10th?  There is conflicting info on this page/site.

Hello Allison,

Help-Portrait originally scheduled the event for the 3rd, but then changed it to the 10th because the original date was too close to Thanksgiving. At the very top of this conversation thread you will see where we posted the date change to reflect the 10th as well. Also, under our group profile picture you will find our current information concerning the date and location. Hope that helps.

At the top of this page, under the profile picture it does not say the 10th, but the 3rd.  That's what caused the confusion.  You might want to change it, because if that's the first thing someone saw, and they were unavailable on the 3rd, they might not continue reading.

Hi Allison,

If the info you are reading is at the top of this page, I believe that you might be reading a discussion created by me. If you follow the conversation thread all the way down, you will see that I responded to my own comment about a date change, and then the conversation thread will eventually take you to the current conversation we are having right now.

If you want to view the current information about the event, you will need to exit this discussion by clicking on "My Groups", and then click on "Huntsville/Madison".  At this point, you will see the groups profile picture of Lowe Mill (the location of the event), and under that picture you will see the current and correct information concerning this event.

I understand.  Maybe you could just delete the post at the top of the page with the wrong date.
