Hey guys - there is a specific thread above (2011 Hong Kong Help-Portrait planning) for this year's event so can we please use the thread for planning rather than the "comment wall" function which is difficult to manage? 

 

I have set up a survey so we can see what times of the week and location would suit the most people so we can plan a meeting for the first week of November?

Guys,
There are a couple leads for this years' subject and we need to start planning.
The tentative target is a school in Tung Chun that has quite a population of under-privileged. Their social economic situation is very similar to that of Tin Shui Wai. It will not only mean a lot to the students and their families there if we organize a HP event at their school but also a good opportunity to raise public awareness of their situation.
If you are interested in this years event. Please drop a line in the discussion thread of 2011 HP HK.

I have some connections with a social enterprise organization called Social Venture Hong Kong, http://www.sv-hk.org/. Their founder shall have the resource to point us to some community centers. The other thing I can think of are some pediatric ward or orphanage.

Shall we "plan" for a planning meeting?

I didn't manage to organize anything in time for Christmas last year but was thinking of doing something for this year.

 

My thought was that we should partner with a local NGO or charity to find some locations where we could possibly set up a portable studio backdrop and possibly even on-location printer...

 

What do you guys think?

I've signup on their other page for organizing an event this year together with another friend.

Do you have anything in mind? Are you also planning an event? Maybe we can join together and get it going?
