In 2012, across Utah, we provided a portrait and disc of memories to 1,652 people in 6 different locations, in 3 counties by 35 photographers and 81 volunteers!

Thank you to all those that helped make this happen for all these families - Persnickety Prints, The Housing Authority of the County of Salt Lake, Salt Lake County, Columbus Library, Marshall White Center, Davis Behavioral Health, Davis County Housing Authority, Ogden Housing Authority, The Salt Lake Tribune, The Standard Examiner, and of course all of our donors.

If you'd like to volunteer as a photographer, assistant, greeter, hair/makeup please contact us at helpportraitutah@gmail.com - we do our best to provide this free service at least once a quarter.

We've been VERY busy this year preparing for Dec 8.  Here's a few updates;

• We started Help Portrait Mini Quarterly Events where a few photogs show up at a specific location and shoot for several hours.  This year we shot at  Grace Mary Manor in May and the Columbus Community Center in Oct.
• We already have a tribune article highlighting our events! SL Trib Article
• We presented HP to the Salt Lake County Council in October.
• We made new connections with Family Promise, Columbus Community Center, and Davis County Housing Authority.
• We started a Help Portrait Utah facebook page to coordinate all this information across our State.  facebook.com/helpportraitutah

Those a just a few of the most important updates so far this year.  We have three scheduled events:

1. Nov 10, from 11am to 7pm, at Davis Behavioral Health (924 S Main St in Layton)
2. Dec 8, from 10am to 6pm, at the Marshall White Center in Ogden.
3. Dec 8, from 10am to 5pm, at the Columbus Library

Ogden is in need of photogs and volunteers.  So please, get in touch with Tyson at 801.391.5763 and volunteer.  Look for more updates as we host the events.

This year, the Help-Portrait Salt Lake City event will be held at the Columbus Center (2530 South 500 East) in the gymnasium. We’ll be shooting from 10am to 5pm. If you’d like to volunteer (Photographer, Assistant, Greeter, etc), please contact Chris @ 801.703.3297

We have received all the blank CD's, jewel cases, envelopes, labels, and markers.  I will get the labels printed before Saturday's Ogden event.  We will have these items and all the forms for all photographers in Ogden and SLC. Thank you all for your help.
