Alright, folks. Let's get this thing going. HelpPortraitAustin.org is up and running. Go on over and register (create an account). This will be the primary site for organizing and recruiting for the Austin Area. If you were involved last year, I'll try to get you set-up ahead of time, but don't wait for me. Sign up now! We have a lot of work to do and little time to get it done.
The Sheraton Downtown has given us the use of the ENTIRE ballroom this year (as opposed to half, last year). So I want to make sure we get the word out and take full advantage of the space. That means two things... helping more people and getting the word out more to the general public.
So, to that regard, we are really in need of a media/marketing guru who can spearhead getting the message out there. And then, of course, there are the usual needs... volunteer, charity, and donor coordinators. Think about it... sign up at the site... and let me know if you're able to step up and help out. Sonya, Bronson, and Sheena were phenomenal last year! unfortunately Sheena won't be able to take on her role as donor coordinator this year. Bronson and Sonya, thanks! I hope you can help again this year, not necessarily as coordinators, though I'd love to work with you in that capacity again.
