Hi there,

I didn't realize there was a group set up for this, I have made contact with 2 different organizations that could greatly benefit from the day....

Denver Safehouse for Women and Children
and I am talking to 3 contacts at The Children's Hostpital.

I have a license in hair and can do make-up but would prefer shooting, that being said I have contacts for make-up.

Working on a contact for printing...

Like I said, I didnt' know that there was all this going already.

Hello there. I just wanted to say hi as well! I am hoping to make this event (I have a couple of other commitments that day that cannot be changed, so it depends on the timing for this)...at any rate, I have contacted Mpix to see if they would be interested in sponsoring this project/event. They wrote back (they are so FAST!) and asked for more specifics, which at least isn't a no! :-)

Just wanted to say Hi. I just found out about this project via an out-of-state friend. I'd love to participate on the 12th! (www.davewoodportraits.com)

i talked with my friend at wolf camera. she's going to talk to her regional manager to see if they'd be interested in sponsoring the event for the prints, or if at the very least she could use her employee discount to help get them done. i'll let you guys know when i hear back from her.

I don't have the means to do any sort of photo printing. It would also eliminate any post processing outside of a quick batch process, which may or may not be a good thing. That being said, if it's something we can realistically make happen, I might be interested.

I've noticed a lot of other Help Portrait groups are printing the pictures on sight. Should we talk about this option?

Whew busy day!! Here are my notes from last night's meeting. I will also send this out to the e-mail group.

- We need to plan a short time block for event. We will have more success if we plan for a few hours rather than all day. (Need to know how many people we are working with first though)
- We plan to use the "raffle ticket" method for keeping track of what picture belongs to what individual.
- Jay is going to contact St. Francis to schedule a walk through. We need to see our location to better plan for the event (lighting, logistics, set up, etc)
- As soon as we get our location finalized, we can more easily plan and recruit more volunteers.
- We decided 4x6 prints are probably the best way to go in order to cut editing time and costs. Also a smaller picture will probably be more practical for the individuals.
- We need to look into how/where we can get the pictures printed. Walgreens? Wolf Camera (Marcus has a possible contact). I can also call around to some contacts. Anyone else have ideas?
- I have a friend who is a hair and makeup artist who is possibly interested in volunteering. Any one else have contacts?
- We need to get major details finalized as well as know who from our community group can commit to volunteering on December 12th and how they plan to help (photography, assistance during shoot, post production, hair/makeup, etc like Katherine mentioned below).
- Urban Peak is a bit up in the air right now. I haven't heard from them about moving forward. Will keep everyone updated on that.

If I forgot anything, please add. Thanks!

Hello All, Gary thanks for your update. Chelsea will be managing the notes from this evening gathering to keep everyone in the know. We are asking for information from members to know what they are comfortable doing for this project, be it shooting, assistance during shoot, post production, hair/makeup or whatever you want to bring to the event. We also would like to request you post your personal e-mails so we can stay in touch as we are fast approaching the December 12th date. Thanks Everyone. Thanks Chelsea for your awesome organization.
