Hi Denver Group!  Under 2 weeks to go!! 

We still have volunteer time slots available.  If you want to do it- I want you to do it, so just let me know!  Trying to get hour long shifts for people (so a lot of our photographers can shoot).  But nothing is written in stone.  Everything is open at this point so speak up!

 

This is just a general guide for the day.  It will be flexible and I'm sure it will change.  I'd just like to make certain ahead of time that we have every station covered at any given time.

 

Notice that there are Station Leaders listed.  Please use them as a point person now and on the day of for coordination and questions.

 

  • Note- we need volunteers to commit to set up (8:30am-10am) and to break down (4pm- 6pm)  Let me know if you can!

Hi Mark. Are you available the entire time 8:30a to 6p? That includes breakdown and setup. Or are you only availabe during the event 10a-4p? And do you have any backdrops, stands, lighting gear, etc you would be using? Or that we could set up during the morning and then leave up for the duration of the event?

I sat through the online chat the other night with Chelsea and the team, it sounded to me like there were plenty of volunteer photographers. I have the camera gear but won't be able to supply station backdrops or lighting. I do have the stands for backdrops 

I spoke with Mike Carrizales and offered to help with editing if needed. He suggested that I might be able to split my time between both. 

I'm willing to help where ever needed and plan on attending all day. Let me know if splitting time works or if you need assistance at all.

Hi Keith. We appreciate your help!I'm sure we will be able to split up time. We can always use the help, and I'm sure we will be able to find a spot for you. I'm not sure how many editors Mike has right now but we can always use print runners and other help.

Is there a spot need filling more than another?  This is my first event so looking for some advice.  Thanks! 

Hi Rebecca. Are you looking for a specific roll? Photog, Assistant, Editor, makeup, print runner, etc? And what times are you available? We can use your assistance somewhere.

I am sad to announce that my husband alerted me this evening that he will be out of town that weekend.  Therefore I will be home with my babies.  Do you all volunteer for any other events throughout the year?  I am new to the Denver area and would love to meet new people.  I was really hoping this would work out.  I hope I didn't cause any inconvenience.

This is the only event that I've been involved with, but I'm not sure about the others that are involved. I too am new to the Denver area and always looking to meet new people. Have you ever looked at the groups at meetup.com? They have a bunch of groups covering a lot of different topics/interests. I haven't had the chance to go to one yet, but it is on my to do list. And don't worry about being un able to help this year. There is always next year!

Finally got my schedule confirmed for the 10th.  I can be there from 10-2.  I will bring my 2 strobes, softlighter, backdrop stand...like Chelsea said I can leave in my car but if it's needed we will have it.  I would be up for doing print runner or photog assistant...wherever I'm needed really, but those looked to be still open.  Thanks!

Wonderful! Are you going to be able to be at the volunteer meeting on Saturday, Dec 3 at Panera Bread @ 1350 Grant Street in Denver at 2:30pm?
