Comment by Caroline on December 2, 2011 at 9:05am Hey all, I'm Caroline from Capitol Hill. I'm a little late to the game, as I just learned of Help Portrait an hour ago, but I'd love to join your group if possible. I'm an amateur and I don't have much experience with portraiture, but this seems like a great place to start. Let me know if you could use more help!
Hi Everyone...how was the meeting? Are we all set? Meeting at the same place & time as last year?
Comment by Raymond Henderson on November 29, 2011 at 9:16pm I won't be able to attend the meeting on the 1st either....but if we need a second discussion I can set up a conference bridge anytime, just let me know. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone again!
Comment by Daphne Gaither on November 28, 2011 at 8:01am Good Morning, I already know I can't make it to the meetup on December 1st at noon in downtown DC. What info will be covered? I will definitely be there w/gear and my student volunteer.
Hi All. I will be there and will bring my printer. If this year's event is as sucessful as last year's we could use at least one more printer. Anyone?
Last year we printed (5x7) on site using my Epson printer and another brought by Heidi. But I had to scramble at the last minute to come up with the paper. I am ready to order some paper from Epson online as the prices are better. I am planning on ordering 200 sheets. However, another volunteer mentioned that they did onsite printing. Could we get clarification in the next couple of days as to whether I need to buy the paper?
I've decided to volunteer a little further north this year, so I will be in Baltimore at the Helping Up Mission on Dec. 10th. Looking forward to another successful Help Portrait Day for us all.
Raymond, I will be there. If the event is bigger than last year that will be great. But I think it also implies that we have some solid preparation.
Comment by Raymond Henderson on November 24, 2011 at 6:33am It is just 16 days before Help Portrait Day and the time is upon us the photographers, videographers, MUAs, event organizers, printers and volunteers to meet to insure that this 2011 Help Portrait Day is a big success. We will in all probability have an even larger event than last year. Which means more smiles on peoples faces.
So to make it the success that we would like I am requesting that we meet at the Barnes and Noble at 555 12th St NW Washington, DC 20004 (corner of 12th & E St. NW) at 12 Noon on December 1, 20011.
I will provide you with the last information and answer any questions you may have.
