Hey Greg. Check out the email below. Pictureframes.com has offered to donate 75 frames/matting/etc. to us! If we need more, they have also offered a pretty cheap rate. They are up in High Point, so it will be easy to drive up and get them if necessary. Please give me a call on 704 668 6806 to confirm that we can use them. Thanks.

Hello Brian!

Help-Portrait looks like an amazing cause – one we’d be delighted to support and help out with some materials. I hadn’t been familiar with it, but… wow… very cool!

We’ve identified about 75 all-inclusive presentations (these come with matting, backing, glazing, etc. and are slightly irregular, tho’ not in any noticeable way) we can outright donate to you.

For the other 15-25 8x10s you’re looking for, you’re welcome to visit our sale on Thursday afternoon or anytime on Friday. We have plenty of 8x10s that we can sell you – these run 2 for $5 -- and we’ll throw in the backing & glazing for free.

Please let me know, in advance, your intended ETA, so we can ensure our ability to get you set up with everything you need. It is guaranteed to be crazy in the morning, tomorrow, which is why I ask that you not come before the afternoon.

We'll be having a planning meeting Monday night at the Sharing House. You'll find all the details in the events section.

HI all
I'm joined up, still finding out what's going on and still checking for conflicts but none so far, still have to consult social secretary AKA lovely wife!
all sounds good.
welcome to my epson r1800 which works good just needs the right drivers (I have them) either apple or windows as epson don't support it any more and the generic drivers are a disaster. Munches ink cartridges though.
best

Hey Greg

What day are you looking for the meeting, I can then let you know if Sherri and Myself can make it, I know we want to for the meeting but it so depends on what day this happens, as to the 12th you got us both for sure and our studio lighting and backdrops.

Also Mark Santo, will be joining, I sent him and emial and talked to him, another great photographer.

Call you later.

Thanks Peter. I know we spoke on the phone this morning but I'll put some of that information here as well. I'm going to be looking for some firm commitments this week for the Sharing House project. Next week we'll have a meeting with a respresentative of the organization to look at the facilities and start to inventory what we have for volunteers and resources.

I definently want everyone's input on how to make this happen as efficiently as possible with the most professional looking end product for the families. Anyone who is not able to make it to the meeting please feel free to post your thoughts in the discussion thread.

We'd love to have you Jody. I'm going to try to figure out who we have for firm commitments on Monday and set up a little meeting at the sharing house one evening next week.

This is a great idea. I live in Winston Salem and am apparently a late comer, but I am certainly interested in helping shoot some of these portraits.

The Charlotte Photography Meetup group is working on an event for Charlotte (CMPG Help-Portrait Ning Group). They have their regular monthly meeting tomorrow night in Charlotte (meeting info). One of the items on the agenda should be putting together ideas for Help-Portrait in Charlotte. There is already some discussion about it in their forums.

I'm happy to take the lead here in Concord. This is a project that I'm going to do anyway and I really could use a few more people to help pull it off.
