If you are planning on helping with the Northern Churches Care event, and did not receive an email from me regarding equipment, please contact me with a specific list of equipment that you will be bringing to the event. A few specific needs we have for Saturday:

- We need to light setups for 2 portrait stations. If you have pack&heads or monolights with modifiers that would be awesome! If not, we can make do with small speedlights.
- 2 or more printers that can be used to print 8x10 prints for the families
- If you have backdrops that you think will work well for these kinds of portraits, let me know...I'm sure we can use them.

i've made a (very basic) facebook community page for our events. just search for 'help-portrait colorado springs'. also, let me know if there is anything you would like me to add to it!

@abby I did see that. That will be a great backup option in case we can't get something locally. Thanks for mentioning that.

@David and @Walter How did the meeting go last night? Let us (those of us working with NCC) know if there are any ways we can help you guys out as you prepare for the Marion House event.

hi everyone!

looks like we are off to a great start now that the first meeting for both events is under our belts. my schedule allowed me to only get to the NCC meeting, but i am hoping to be able to help with both events this year. i'm helping out with scheduling/logistics/planning for the NCC event, and can be wherever i'm needed at the marian house event. from what i heard last night (and personal experience), it kind of seems like the website is not the easiest to navigate (for instance, i had NO IDEA that there had been 15 replies to one of the threads, as it apparantly only emails you when a new comment or thread is posted, but not a reply), so we're leaning towards email communcation for the NCC event, just to streamline things a bit. i'm not sure if the marian house event is using email or not. that being said,

1) if you are interested in helping with the NCC event on the 4th (it will run from 900 to 200, with set-up to begin at 730) and have NOT YET gotten an email from shun-luoi (which would mean he has your info already), please email me at megan.e.berry@gmail.com and i will add you to the list.

2) i hope to send out an email asap regarding sign-ups for who would like to do what, and when, for the NCC event, so please get me your info sooner rather than later.

3) if there is an email list for the marian house event, i would love to be put on so i can be up to speed.

4) we have scheduled a second meeting for the NCC event on tuesday the 30th of november at 800 at shun-luoi's studio, 2502 west colorado #302, in old colorado city. please try your best to be there, as it will be our last meeting before the event! i saw something about a meeting next tuesday for marion house...not sure about the time and place.

please let me know if you have any suggestions/ideas/modifications that you think would work...all input is appreciated. thanks!

In case you missed the announcement, we are meeting at 8pm tonight (11/09) at 2502 West Colorado Avenue #302, Colorado Springs, CO 80904 (in Old Colorado City).

If you would also like to participate in the Marian House event (on Dec 3), hustle over to Pikes Perk b/c they are meeting right now!

With the help of the Marian House we will be moving to a much larger area in First Presbyterian Church at Weber and Kiowa.

Marian House will do Help-Portrait on Dec. 3rd (Friday) this year. Looking forward to the meeting next Tues at Pikes Perk on Academy.
