I'm dropping a note to CATEC this morning, to two of the cosmetology teachers, to see if that have any students that would like to come help us. More later.
I struck out with CATEC, as the notice was too short - and the instructors are out of town. We are back to square one I'm afraid. Does anyone know any beauticians that can lend us a hand?
We've got Sarah in the afternoon - but we need someone from 10:00 to 5:00.
Still wrangling with this, and have been in touch with several salons this morning, and Massanutten Vocational Tech. Very difficult to get someone on this short notice, but I'm trying.
If any of the gals in our group, could contact their personal stylists - that would be a huge help!
I talked with the cosmetology instructor at the Greene County Technical Education Center and will get back to you if she has students who can participate. It was short notice, but maybe someone can help. Pat Temples
I am still stumped by this one, and I've been shaking a lot of trees. CATEC is out, and we still have a small shot at someone from Massanutten Vocational Tech coming to help us - but I'm not counting on it. Several local salons have turned me down, simply because Saturday tends to be their busiest day, and the beauticians are booked solid with holiday styling and make-overs.
One last try, I have to get moving on a few other things today... I looked on Craigslist (yes, you read right) under the beauty section, there was only one add for a traveling beautician that has make-up on hand. I emailed her and gave her a link as well as my #.
I'm not longer a Mary Kay consultant, but I used to volunteer for these types of events all the time. I'm sure someone w/in your group has connections to a consultant. They are local, and they're good. Would save you alot of time. Just wanted to share that info. Bless you all.
