Planning Meeting Monday Nov 2nd
After some discussion regarding possible political overtones, the group has settled on doing the Dec 12th event at Christ Church in Schenectady. The event will not be at the Alpha Center specifically, nor will they be considered the beneficiary, although some of their clients are likely to be.
The church has some good spaces for our use and now what we really need are PHOTOGRAPHERS!
We want to have multiple "stations" for portraits to be made. This take multiple photographers and more equipment than just having one pro guy snapping away.
We will be having another planning meeting on Monday Nov 2nd at the Wolf Road Diner (at the airport end of Wolf Road.) at 6pm. Anyone may attend, however a head count would be useful since we will have to get a table or large booth.
Please be prepared to contribute to a decent tip even if you don't order dinner to make it worth the waitress and restaurant's time to have us there needing space and attention.

Hi all,
I just joined this group, though I have been following the Help Portrait project since it was announced a couple months ago.
I have read through the past threads as a background on what ideas are being discussed but I am interested to hear what came out of the latest meeting this week. It sounds like we have a location, but what about all the other issues mentioned in earlier threads?
I am interested in participating as a photographer. I am not a professional but a serious amateur. I have some descent camera gear and enough lighting equipment to set up one complete portrait "station." -

Hi, just joined this group. More then willing to help out. Heard about this at teh SPS meeting last month. I have plenty of equipment including lights and backdrops, etc. Hopefully I'll be albe to make the next planning meeting, if not, just let me know what time to show up. :)
