Group now up and running on Facebook!
Wow.. time to plan already? Actually, I've missed you guys.
I've started 2 facebook things for our local group:
A "Page" for general public announcements that can be "liked" or seen by anyone on Facebook. It's a great place to help spread the word to people you know even if they aren't around here. They may be prompted to join or start a Help Portrait movement in their own area. People can show their support and get general announcements via the "Page". We can also refer potential providers of goods and services to the "page".

The facebook "Group" works similarly to this community site except that the contecnt for our local group will NOT be visable to the facebook public. Only those who "join" the group will be able to see all content (including photos and discussions). Only the info page will be visable to everyone. I have done this for our individual security as well as to protect possible clients of our event. So if you would like to be kept in the loop via facebook rather than Ning, you must "join" the group.

Hopefully these 2 additional resources will help us not only reach more people, but stay in touch better with those we do reach. The email list sometimes fails to include all participants.
