Thank you so much to everyone who took part in this year's event. You all worked so hard and it wouldn't have been possible without each of you!! We totaled 29 participants today! 

Because we have a TON of supplies left, we're hoping to set another event up soon. I'll keep everyone posted as details come. 

Again, a big thank you to everyone! You guys are amazing!

John, one map shows the first floor where the photographer stations will be. they'll be in both rooms to each side of the hallway. the second map shows the basement where we will have the sign in and refreshments. this is where the participants will wait. the third map is just an outline of the process participants will go through.

Just a quick question which map are we for the setup there is 3 maps , I was going to say we would be in the middle?

We'll hold our second planning meeting at 7pm Friday, December 9th. The mall seemed to work well last time, so we'll meet in the food court. This time, in the booths closest to the main entrance (by the Christmas tree)

If you are interested in volunteering this year, please put your information into the spreadsheets below so I can keep track of who we have and what we need.   We will set up a meeting very soon! And will hopefully be able to announce our location by the end of this week!

what a great achievement ! none of it would have been possible without the great organizational skills and resources of uri and erin. coupled with great support from the volunteers ( of all ages ), as well as, donation from the community and retailers.
i was proud to be a part of such a gratifying experience and look forward to being involved in the future.
243 people served....... wow - nice work everyone ; )

wow 243 people served! Such a great time. Thank you Uri & Erin and all the awesome people I met and got to work with at this event. Looking forward to the next one!

Ok so after several counts (and a HUGE miscount first go around...lol) the final FINAL count is 243 people served. I know you photographers took many more photos than that, but according to people in the door and who got sessions....243. That is 176 more people than our last event in April. I am so proud of our little city!

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you so much to all of the volunteers and participants who came out to make this Help Portrait our most powerful and successful yet. We had an amazing turnout, heard amazing stories and I for one, am humbled beyond words by the selflessness of everyone involved. I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to work alongside so many wonderful individuals. You all changed so many people's lives today and took part in something that they will remember for years to come. Every time they look at their photo, they will have a fond memory to look back upon and you ALL had a hand in that. Everyone's collective effort made today possible and we could not have been as successful and gave as much as we did, had it not been for the collective heart that was put into this event. You have all inspired me more than I have ever been inspired before and I look forward to working with you all again.

To all of the participants, thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives. Your stories and smiles will be something that we all carry with us for the rest of our days.Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share your world with us. While you may think that we did something wonderful for you, you did something even more wonderful for us. Your participation, excitement and happiness were the greatest gift that we could receive this holiday season. We are all so thankful to have gotten to known all of you and look forward to seeing you all again.

Once again, thank you to all of you. I am filled with such a sense of awe, community, joy and thanks for getting to do this once again.

the Bridgeport Help Portrait event will be taking place December 4,2010 at the Bridgeport Public Library on Broad Street from 10am~3:00pm. Portraits are being done on a first come first serve basis. Hope to see you there!
