Capital Area Family Violence Intervention Center-- Battered Women's Program
Greetings,
I am starting this thread because I have contacted this organization and they were more than excited about the possibility of doing this project with them.
So, what I am asking for is volunteers to assist me with this organization. I am specifically seeking the following:
1) Photographers - I am looking for about four photographers who would like to join me. The only guideline is that these images cannot be used on any website due to confidentiality of the families.
2) Hair and Makeup artists - I would like 1 or 2 hair and makeup artists who would like to volunteer.
3) Post-processing - If you are a person who would like to work on this please let me know.
4) Printer - I would like to have a printer on-site to make sure their confidentiality is kept secure, if not, we need a printer who is reputable and would be willing to insure the integrity of the identity of the people involved.

I've worked with the Denham Springs woman's shelter before and they are so grateful and sweet, I would really like to help with this.
I'm a make up artist and know a few hairstylist that would like to help as well. Let me know what I can do to help organize this event. :) -

Thank you for responses everyone! I think we have a good start at providing a great day for those involved.
Here is what he have lined up so far,
Photographers - Lacey and myself
I think two more photographers would be great to have, that way we can rotate between grip, taking portraits, proofing the photographs, and getting the images printed.
Makeup artist - Tina
Hair stylist - Habiba
Tina and Habiba , if you have friends that would like to help out, then let them know they are welcomed as well since there maybe a good number of people at this location. If you could contact any beauty supply stores that would donate supplies. I have provided the HP donation letter link in hopes that you could possibly use it to explain what we are trying to accomplish.

This is a good beginning to a great project, let's keep this up and try to get as many people involved as possible.

Southern Camera is a local photo lab and will certainly ensure the confidentiality of the families. Contact the lab here: http://www.southerncamera.com and their ph # is 225-383-3002. Speak with Terry or Margaret about the project. I'm sure they'll love to sponsor us.

I'm super excited about this! I will have to take an hour off though for a wedding that moved dates! But its fast :)
What time will we be shooting this? All day?

Biba - Hay girl hay! We are going to make these ladies feel so good about themselves!
I'm going to work on getting together some "goodie bags" for the ladies, maybe just a lipgloss or single make up application color card, just something for them to have. -
