Over the past couple of weeks we've had the opportunity for a second Help Portrait location open up to us.  Some of you may know about Helping Up Mission located in the heart of Baltimore.  They serve over 400 men each week through their programs.

We are blessed to have the opportunity to go in on a small scale, and potentially touch the lives of those men and their families.  We have many of the resources needed in place, but there are a few holes we'd like to see if we can fill through the forums here.

We are seeking two photographers, preferably with small white backdrops, camera and lights.  We are also seeking 2 photo editors to assist with photo selection and printing.

Finally, we are seeking additional bodies to assist with general hospitality stuff, but not a ton of folks.  Our full team will be approximately 12 people and will serve a large group of men and their families.

This is not a small undertaking, but one that I'm positive will be a truly rewarding one.  If you are specifically interested in finding out more information on this location, please contact me.

If you are already committed to helping at our first location, please keep that commitment as plans will be made based on your commitments.

I will be there to head up the hospitality team.  I'm quite excited for this opportunity!

I would love to assist here with photography. I'll have two others with me and either one can also shoot if needed. I have lights and will get the backdrop for this.

Tucker.  Welcome aboard!  That's very exciting and I look forward to working together on the Helping Up Mission site!  It's going to be an amazing day and one that I'm sure we'll be pretty thankful for at the end of the day.  We'll get more specifics out as we get closer and probably have a pre-event meeting to meet as a team and get to know each other and go over details as needed.

Sounds great and I'm very excited about it! Thanks Wes!

Wes,

If you have a need for another one of the "additional bodies" let me know and I will be happy to come to this location.

Trevor, that sounds great!  Additional bodies are always welcome.  Never know what we're going to need.  Welcome aboard!

This pretty much sounds like exactly what I was planning, but in the interest of time and my crazy work schedule I'm putting that on a back burner so I'm totally down to help out here. Judging by last year I'm sure there will be plenty of people for the first location.

I'm a photog, but I have no backdrop or lights so I'll be a photo editor. MacBook Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, the usual.

Wes

I have lights and backgounds for this project.  Just let me know if you will need  me when and what time.

Art, that sounds great!  We'll put out a full day schedule soon.  It's pretty much a full day.  We'll want to begin setup around 9-10 and we'll shoot from 1-5.  We may start sooner based on getting setup and the amount of interest from the guys at Helping Up Mission.

Welcome aboard!

Aisha.  That sounds great!  We'd love to have you join us at the second location.  Welcome aboard.

I am interested in helping on the hospitality team.  Katy, please let me know what you're planning.  I have volunteered at Helping Up Mission before, serving dinners during a couple of weekends earlier this year.  I've also participated in Help Portrait 2010 in DC with printing, but not sure if my little Canon Selphy will hold up this year. But I'm definitely up for helping out with hospitality!

Adrienne,

The kitchen crew was going to get back to us after Thanksgiving so we could talk collaboration.  I'm planning hot cocoa and baked goods, but we'll see what they have to say.  We'll also need people greeting and registering the men and their families as well as someone calling the next in line.  I'll let you know when we hear back from them!

Thanks!  Welcome aboard!
