One question was asked about what if we exceed the money needed; what happens to the extra donations?

Good question and easily answered. Any dollars above and beyond needed to purchase the frames and printing will be donated/given to Families First.

Hey Folks,
I have good news. We have a corporate donation. The company I work for has agreed to donate $250 to the cause for providing frames for the photos.

My question now is where do I bring the check? Or it can be mailed either to a Help-Portrait rep or Families First rep.

Let me know, ASAP, please.

Donation Update

Good news, so far, we have collected $1,430! We are short of our goal, so any last minute push with friends, family and co-workers etc will be very helpful. $10 can go a long way to providing a great gift to a needy family.

Update:

We collected $1800 in donations, thank you to everyone who has donated.

I ordered 250 11x14 frames from Frame USA on Saturday for $1600.

That leaves us with $200.We need another $300 to cover the printing. My ask is, if you have not donated already, if you can find $10 to help, it will go a long way. Also, if you can share the donation link with your friends, family, co-workers etc, you'd be surprised at how fast we can get the $300 needed.

First, a big thank you to everyone who donated, our families are going to get a great gift from a bunch of talented and generous Atlanta photographers.

Second, we have reached our revised goal of $2,100 (actually exceeded it by $30). 100% of the money donated is going to buying frames and prints. Your generosity and your efforts to get friends, family and co-workers to help truly made the difference. And I thank you.

Third, for those who did donate via the Google Checkout, you'll be receiving you donation receipt after the event. For those who have donated via check or cash, hit me back with an email and I'll get your receipt to you.

Fourth, after this event, I am pulling together a small group of folks to start planning for next year. So email me if you are interested in being on the planning committee.
