Hello to all. I know it has been a while since Help Portrait, but I am sure you have all received the newest Help Portrait update on the new event they wish to hold on February 14th. My wife and I have been talking and have decided that is much to soon to plan something good. So we have decided to hold our own event called "Beads for Haiti." This will be an event held at the end of February we are still not sure of the exact date, but I will let you know. The Idea of the event is to raise money for Haiti by selling art, photographs, and hand made jewelry, as well as have a DJ and possibly a band. We already have a beautiful venue at at a cafe, so that is not a problem. We need as many artist to donate there work as we can, the more the better. We are still working through the details, so if you are interested in helping out or just donating your work please contact me. Thanks for reading this and I hope to here from some of you soon.

Hello,

I've had an operation in the week after december 12th, so did not have time to leave any comments. I think it's a good idea to make it bigger and better organised somewhere during 2010.
Maybe we can make a steady plan.

I am freelance web developer and doing photography as a hobby. I don't have any professional experience as photographer. Anyway, I hope to help some people and learn from each other.

Lisette: Just a basic request telling them what the event is about, asking if they will be willing to sponsor a few (Thinking 100-150? max) prints, sized about 8 x 12 inches (20x30cm here I guess). I will get contact details for us of their PR department.

Hit there,

I can write the letter but what has to be in it and where do you want to sent it to?
I have a little problem for joining 12th december, i think it depends of the time. My daughter has to sport in Leiden, I can bring her and then come to Amsterdam, after that I can come back to get her and go home.
I can try to be at the library at 18.00 on Monday, after Monday it is imjpossible for me because I have an new job on 1th december and that's not in Amsterdam anymore.

Would like to be involved in this project I work in Amsterdam and look forward to taking some portraits and making some people happy as part of this great initiative originally saw it on Chase Jarvis's blog.
