Hi I just signed up. Do I need to find a local venue to contact or will there be suggested locations? It seems a bit confusing as there is so much info left over from 2010, perhaps that should be archived. Thanks in advance.

Lisa go to groups at the top of the page. then under "all groups" start typing in cities near you in the box and hopefully you will be able to find one close enough to your location.  Hopes this helps.

Thank you Vincent. I am near NYC but was wondering if doing something closer to home might be better. But I'll check that out.

you are welcome. if you don't find one, go to a small support agency. like one with a food or clothes help. that's how I was able to start one. It grew from there. Lots of time but things are looking up. I only started last tuesday, and now I have a partnership with a local cosmetology school and am recruiting people to shoot through it. Also I have a shoot scheduled with a nursing home for the residents. I have only 1 other committed shooter but I have access to more.

Do like me go rogue. LOL

Hi Lisa, We're about to clean out accounts that have not been active within the last 6 months, and that should help. For general information on getting started, see the page which links to several helpful posts: http://help-portrait.com/getting-started/

Thanks!

Hi Lisa,

I have the same experience, so I'd like to put my wishes in writing. I wish there was a:

  • rules of engagement unique to H-P (if any)
  • general report of sorts from last year's H-P where we can learn from
  • master checklist template for the critical/optional roles involved
  • pinned discussion (if all the above were perhaps already tackled before)

Tried messaging Kyle, but got no reply :(

Thanks...
