0 Comments 1 LikeAs many of you know, there are a lot of groups that are out of date and no longer relevant. The problem is, we don't know which are active, and which aren't. So we need your help.
If you are leading or the admin for a group, and are planning an event this year, please update the title of your group to the following format:
City, State/Providence, Country - 2011
Here's how you make that change:
Please note: Inactive groups will be marked for deletion by November 1, 2011.
Don't forget to let us know if you're a local leader. We need to hear from you.

Permalink Reply by Kyle Chowning on October 25, 2011 at 9:37pm Our group page "owner" is no longer involved. Is there a way to establish a new admin for the page or could you make the change for us? None of us have the ability to edit the page (which would be really nice for other reasons too).
We are New York Capital District at this time. I guess we would be:
Capital District, New York, USA - 2011
If you must have a city name (instead of Capital District) it would be Albany.
(more than 1 week's notice for this group deletion would have been nice, BTW)

Permalink Reply by Lisa Foote on November 4, 2011 at 1:15am I just noticed this post and have not had access to the internet until today...and I noticed my group was removed. Ahugghh!!!!! Do I need to create it again and have people join? We definitely have a one set up and need to fix this.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Any inactive group (no activity for 4 months) was removed so that it's easier for folks to connect with the up-to-date groups in their area. Feel free to create a new one, or join a group that's already in set-up in your area.
