I've never done on of these events before but I'm very interested in finding out more about it. I'm a photographer with all sorts of digital equipment and a whole studio set up who happens to live in Pinellas County so if you could use me I'd love to find out some more info on how the whole thing works.
Permalink Reply by Bob Thompson on November 13, 2011 at 9:19am Hi Kelly,
Would love to have you join us. We are setting up at Anona Church in Largo. I'm looking to have 4-5 Photography stations. We'll take portraits of individuals or families that would not typically be able to afford it and print them on site for them to take with them.
If you would like to join us, please let me know and add yourself to the Anona group. Also, can you let me know what type of equipment you can bring (lighting, printing, etc.)
Thanks,
-Bob
Thank you for the info - I will absolutely be there!!!
As far as equipment, I have 2 Nikon digital camera bodies, several lenses, a full studio set up (complete with lights and multiple backdrops) and an older Mac Powerbook that I can bring along. My laptop has become a backup to my new desktop system but I do have PhotoShop and will be able to show the participants each of their images. The only thing I don't have is a printer so I'm not sure what will have to be done there. Is there a printer I could share the use of or should I bring CDs to burn and hand out?
Like I said, I'm a newbie with this whole thing but I'm up for anything you need. Can't wait!!
Hey Bob! I'm looking forward to tomorrow so just wanted to check on the final details. You mentioned you would be there around 7:30 to set up so I;ll plan on not being too far behind. I'm sure the parking lot will be pretty empty at that point so I should be able to find your car but just for my own planning, where should I head when I get to the church? I saw online that there's a school on the same "campus" - are we heading there or in the church hall or something? Other then that, I will be sporting my new "Help Portrait" t-shirt and will have my cameras, lights, backdrops and laptop in hand so let me know if there's anything else I should have with me.
See you in the a.m.

Thanks!
