Any information on being an official Chapter yet?

I seem to remember last year there was talk about allowing each Help-Portrait even become an actual chapter instead of always relying on the main Help-Portrait organization to use their tax ID number and manage the donations  and then having to access reimbursements. The whole thing was really difficult last year. The issue of actually setting it up as a non-profit in our own right means we can't technically use the Help-Portrait name, but we want to be a help-portrait event.

So is there any movement on this?

Unfortunately, we are not going to be able to allow separate chapters. Why? We are a 100% volunteer organization and simply don't have the manpower and financial resources to steward that process well. While it may seem simple, allowing people all across the world to be an extension of us comes with significant responsibilities, and liabilities. Until we get major funding on the administrative side...which this community has been very vocal in letting us know that they don't think we should actually make money to continue operations—go figure—we do with what we have. 

Now, I won't say it never will happen. It may, some day. Just not today.
