@Lesley. I am assuming you mean you have a laptop and not a mac. Either will be ok.........and a desktop may be a schlep to carry along.

 

But please do shout back in case I have misunderstood.

 

And if you don't have either, just come along and bring your images on a memory card, USB stick, USB hard drive or CD.

@Hannes: There is a Windows PC and a Mac version available. Click on this link and select the version that suits you.

 

We'll also have both versions tomorrow. Yup, its a 30 days trial.

 

We have scratched around for a price and the best have at the moment is a shade under R1,000 and there are just four copies available! We'll announce details tomorrow.

 

If anyone has a better price, please shout back!

Is your trial version available for Mac as well or should I download beforehand?

 

The trial versions normally only last 30 days and the Help Portrait will running for longer. Maybe someone must try and organise special deals for us? hehehe

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP #3 - After the shoot

 

Change of Venue to: KAMERAZ Shop U11A, Rosebank Mews/Mall 173 Oxford Road, Rosebank. Click here for a Google map.

 

Please bring:

• Your images from Workshop #1 and #2. Unedited files are ok. If you did not attend either workshop, bring other images.
• Your laptop/notebook if you have one. If do not have a laptop, don't worry, just come.

What we will do:

• Install a trial version of Photoshop Elements 9 on your laptop. We will have the application for you on disk and memory stick.
• Share a simple workflow: image download, tagging and rating, basic editing, simple retouching and exporting for print;
• Practice on your images.

Our objective is to help make it easier for you to process your photos after Help-Portrait shoots and get them ready for printing.

Sorry you can't make it. Don't worry, I will deal with your muffin personally.

 

There is yet no plan to repeat this workshop, but we will check on requests in the weeks ahead.

Hi Hannes.

 

You are a step ahead of me! We're sending out a note later today that will have the guidelines.

 

In summary, its your images from the shoots [Workshop 1 and 2] and a laptop if you have one. We'll be providing a link to download software and also have copies on hand to install on the day.
